Letters of Love

A couple weeks after my surgery, I had a post op visit with my OBGYN. She was there during my first prenatal visit and I was glowing! I was so excited to start my family of 3. She noticed I was a bit off during my post op visit. I was depressed. My husband was sad. Nothing in the world can make us feel whole again. Even to this day, I do think about it and I still mourn about it. I just became a professional of hiding my true emotions. So during the visit, my obgyn said she thinks a dog will help us cope. I told her my apartment building does not allow any pets, so she offered to write me a note. I got the note, but then I had to do a lot of convincing to my husband.

During the past couple weeks after I saw my OBGYN, I noticed my husband was saying yes to everything I asked for. Iā€™m not sure if it was because he knew how sad I was, but I thought, maybe this would be a good time to ask for a dog. I finally got the courage to ask him. He said yes! He told me he was allergic to dogs so we had to get a hypoallergenic one. He did some research online and he found the perfect breeder. We waited 6 months to a year to find a pet. We picked her up 2 years ago and I can not wait for all of you to meet her!
