My Other Half
Let me introduce you to my other half. His name is Chris and we’ve known each other since we were little kids. We went to the same Church and attended CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine). I’ve always thought of him as eye candy at Church, but never acted on it. Our relationship consisted of a little wave from across the room and that was it.
Our relationship started when I went out to dinner and got a little tipsy. I had sent him a facebook message that night asking him to take me out on a date and I left my phone number. I never thought he was going to respond. Before we had emojis, this is what he texted, “Hi =)” We had to be creative with that we had on our phones.
Fast forward to 2014, we got married. Chris proposed to me in 2012 and got married 2 years later. We always said we wanted to get traveling out of the way and then start a family. We went to Thailand on our Honeymoon. Our first year anniversary, he took me to Rome, Venice, and Paris. For our 4 year anniversary, he took me to Dubai. We also took a handful of little trips all throughout the United States.
When we were finally ready to start a family, we didn’t realize how hard it would be. I have never heard of PCOS or ectopic pregnancies. I never knew miscarriages were in my cards. I never thought I would be 1 of 8. I didn't think I was going to lose a fallopian tube along the way. A lot of unanswered questions ran through my mind. What if we never waited so long? Why didn’t I realize I was getting older? These questions that I want to ask myself is questions that don’t have answers.
I have shared some photos with you during our trips. Our memories that I treasure.
