My Valentine
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! FROM THE MACATULAD’S!
I know, I know.. Valentine’s Day is a hallmark holiday and we should be celebrating our love for each other everyday, but why can’t we break our wallets for one day to spoil our sweethearts! It gets too expensive if we showered the ones we love with gifts everyday! I mean who doesn't like fresh flowers and chocolates?
My husband’s surprise for me was a complete fail! Today he worked from 7am to 3:30pm. When he left worked, he drove to my favorite cupcake place called Nothing Bundt Cakes. There were several people ahead of him so he stood in line and waited. When it got to his turn, they made an announcement that they ran out of all the popular flavors! Of course, my favorite had to be red velvet so he just left. We’ve been together going on 9 years, so he knew marble, carrot, and pecan is something I wouldn’t enjoy. Oh well! It's the thought that counts! Dinner of my choice is on him tonight! Since I don’t like leaving Peanut by herself, I always choose delivery and eat in! The joy of living in San Francisco is that I can order delivery from the Cheesecake Factory!
I think Valentine’s Day is a reminder where you can tell your spouse how grateful you are that they are in your life. I know people with busy lives sometimes takes their spouse for granted and they don’t even realize it. They may seem like their life may be a routine and they know that they will always be there. They don’t realize how much they are missing you while you’re busy at work and when you come home from work, you are so tired that you just want to take a nap. With that said, I stopped working over 40 hours a week. When I started this new position, I left work before my husband and my husband still arrived home from work before I did. I devoted my time at work trying to be the best employee. In reality, I wasn’t the best wife. I didn’t balance my time wisely. I realized that the time with my husband was cut short. I sometimes received photos that my husband would send me over text and it would be of Peanut waiting at the front door for me. That broke my heart. After I came home working those long hours, I would have my computer with me and I’ll be working from home. After I changed my work hours to 40 hours a week instead of 80, I felt my love life has been better than ever.
My husband and I live in a stress free home and we do funny things that would make each other laugh so hard! My husband, Chris is so great! I can tell when he gets a little annoyed by something, he takes a step back and just chills. Or when I’m in a little snappy mood, he doesn’t say much or does something to calm me down. I know he’s trying to keep me happy and relax during a time like this. He’s my one!
Let’s talk about the picture I had posted. We took this picture in 2015. That was four years ago. I haven’t been enjoying taking photos lately because I’ve been feeling kind of blah! Doctors orders, no working out and to relax. When I finally get the ok, I hope I still have the motivation to go to the gym and burn 1000 calories like I did back then. This picture was also taken 5 months after we got married. We didn’t think that waiting to start a family would take a long, difficult process.
Things we do to stay positive:
We don’t allow negativity into our lives.
Watch our favorite shows and eat our favorite foods together.
We take Peanut to the mall since my husband doesn’t want Peanut to catch anything at the dog park.
Law of attraction-You think of something you want, the universe will make it happen. ALWAYS THINK POSITIVE!

There is only one happiness in life. To love and to be loved.
